The Valatie Free Library serves the village of Valatie, the hamlet of Niverville and surrounding rural Kinderhook in Columbia County along the scenic Hudson River Valley of New York State. Board meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 7:00 pm in the Library. The public is welcome to attend.

MHLS has recently purchased a one year subscription to Library Elf Premium Service. If you decide to use this service, you will now be able to keep track of items due, overdue and ready for pickup. You can elect to receive reminders about items up to seven days in advance by email and text. Click on the logo above to start the process of setting up a personal account. Choose the options you want to include in this reminder service. It's quick and easy! If you need help, have any questions, or need your library card number and pin, call us or visit the Library. We will also have informational bookmarks available for you.

Click on submit and you will have initiated a search across the millions of book, movie, ebook, and audiobook titles available to you through the Mid-Hudson Library System PLUS downloadable articles from over 7,000 magazines and journals! You can also click on the MId-Hudson logo above and be taken to the Public Catalog where you can initiate the search process.
