Valentine’s Day Decorations: On Wednesday, February 1st, from 5:30 – 6:30, there will be a Craft Workshop for kids, kindergarten age and older. Come to the library and make a special Valentine decoration. Parents and guardians are also welcome. Registration is necessary so that we have enough supplies. Please register in the library at the Circulation Desk or call us at 758-9321.

Photo Competition: Submission of entries during March! Exhibition in April! Additional information and entry forms will be available in February.

And in the summer . . .

Graphic Art in July for teens and tweens with Barbara Slate. Ms. Slate has worked as a graphic artist/writer for Marvel Comics, written Mattel’s Barbie and Archie’s Betty and Veronica, among other works. Visit her website, barbaraslate.com to learn more about this talented professional. Additional information and dates and times will be available in February. Don’t miss this chance to learn about graphic art and to produce a work of your own.

Ongoing Events at the Library

For Kids: 

Story Hour meets each Tuesday morning at the library from 10:30 – 11:15 when ICC is in session. Stories, activities, crafts and snacks for all! Fun for preschoolers and their caregivers! Join us anytime.

Free Math Tutoring is available on Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4:30 P.M. If you need help with your math homework or just some additional math coaching, come to the library then. Margot, our math tutor, will be here and happy to assist you.

For Adults:

Photo Club will meet on Friday, February 24th at 2:00 P.M.

Book Club next meets on January 30, 2012. We will be discussing The Invention of Hugo Cabret: A Novel in Words and Pictures, by Brian Selznick, now in movie theaters as Hugo, and Will in the World: How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare, by Stephen Greenblatt. New members are welcome.

Knitting and Crochet Club. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 7th at 7 P.M. in the library. Beginners and experts are invited to join us. Share your expertise; share your tips.
